A meticulously crafted and curated recreation of the founder’s workshop that celebrates his medical innovations and legacy. This medical technology company is a global leader in patient-focused medical innovations for structural heart disease, critical care, and surgical monitoring. We wanted to pay homage to the company’s founder with a creative interpretation of his 1955 Oregon workshop in the middle of the company's new Irvine campus. Architecture and design firm OFFICEUNTITLED had a heavy hand in the design of the cabin and brought us in as a partner to create an educational experience for visitors. Working closely with the founder's family and OHSU Historical Collective & Archives, we captured the essence of this founder’s cabin and celebrate his legacy. Upon entering the cabin, visitors are surrounded by meticulously crafted and curated displays highlighting the personal accomplishments of the founder, along with some of his family’s stories. Beautifully restored and preserved vintage tools combined with donated family artifacts bring visitors and employees back to a simpler time and give a glimpse into the founder’s past.
